HSBC is hiring a Senior Java Technical Lead in Toronto to design, develop, test, release, and support Java services for the FX Options Primary Trading System, including its Risk Monitoring component. The role focuses on hands-on delivery, production reliability, incident triage, observability, and technical leadership, with secondary responsibility for mentoring and growing a small Toronto engineering capability. The position requires strong senior Java, Spring, Spring Boot, REST, microservices, and production systems experience, along with experience working with globally distributed teams and financial-services stakeholders.
