Description

Citi is hiring a Senior Vice President – Senior Lead, Python Engineering and Generative AI Platforms to lead the Retail and Wealth Risk Engineering organization. The role defines enterprise strategy and architecture for Python engineering, AI agent platforms, data pipelines, microservices, and full-stack solutions; manages 15+ engineers and hybrid AI-assisted development teams; and ensures regulatory compliance, data governance, model governance, and scalable technology delivery for retail and wealth risk programs.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree or university degree, or equivalent experience
Required Previous Experiences: 12+ years of relevant experience in enterprise application development, data engineering, or AI platform engineering, including leadership in regulated environments
8+ years leading multi-team Agile organizations with 20+ engineers, including distributed and hybrid AI-assisted teams
Experience architecting and implementing enterprise AI and generative AI platforms, including agentic AI frameworks, LLM integrations, and prompt engineering
Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools such as Devin.AI and GitHub Copilot
Experience with microservices architecture, APIs, and cloud-native deployment using Kubernetes or OpenShift
Experience with event-driven architectures and streaming platforms such as Kafka
Deep understanding of data architecture, data mesh, data federation, and regulatory data requirements
Experience with cloud platforms and modern data ecosystems
Familiarity with React or Angular for full-stack solution delivery
Client relationship management experience and ability to engage senior business stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications: Exposure to retail lending and credit risk and regulatory platforms, including CCAR, FDIC reporting, and enterprise risk aggregation
Core systems expertise in retail banking domains
Business domain knowledge in retail banking and risk organizations
Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and DevSecOps practices
Knowledge of AI product development lifecycle and model governance frameworks
