Description
Klaviyo is hiring a Senior Lead Software Engineer - Data Platform to own and shape the technical direction of its Data Lake and broader data platform. The role leads large, complex cross-team initiatives; makes architectural decisions across lakehouse storage, compute, orchestration, modeled data, and operational automation; establishes reusable patterns and standards; partners with engineering, product, analytics, AI/ML, and governance stakeholders; and mentors senior and lead engineers. The position requires 12+ years of software engineering experience, expertise in distributed systems and data platform architecture, and hands-on experience with technologies such as Iceberg, Spark or EMR, Airflow, Python, modeled data systems, and AWS. The base salary range for United States locations is $216,000 to $324,000 USD, with potential bonus, equity, sign-on payments, and health, welfare, and wellbeing benefits.
