Arista Networks is hiring a software engineer for its EOS Platform Independent Layer 2 and network services team. The role involves translating customer and product requirements into functional specifications, architecting and developing Layer 2, network-management, monitoring, and security features in C, C++, and Python, building automated tests, troubleshooting network issues, owning software delivery, providing technical leadership, and mentoring engineers. The position requires a relevant bachelor’s degree plus six years of experience, or an MS plus four years, or a Ph.D. plus three years, along with expert C or C++ and Python knowledge, Linux software development experience, and networking or distributed-systems software experience.
