Description
Earthjustice is hiring a Senior Legislative Representative to develop and implement legislative and administrative advocacy strategies focused on industrial chemical pollution and regulatory toxics issues. The role reports to the Legislative Director of Healthy Communities, interfaces with congressional offices, federal agencies, and other regulatory entities, and is hybrid from the Washington, D.C., office twice weekly. Responsibilities include lobbying, policy and legal analysis, coalition building, public education, media outreach, and coordination with litigation and communications staff. Candidates need at least six years of legislative or federal agency advocacy experience, a master's degree or equivalent experience, substantial knowledge of administrative rulemaking and federal legislation, and strong writing, communication, organizational, and coalition-building skills. The salary range in Washington, D.C. is $140,000 to $155,500.
