Description
Schnabel is hiring a Senior/Supervising Geotechnical Engineer for its Albany, New York area office in Clifton Park. The role leads and supports multidisciplinary geotechnical and water infrastructure projects, including dams, reservoirs, flood resiliency, heavy civil works, and general infrastructure. Responsibilities include field investigations, instrumentation and monitoring, laboratory testing, soil and rock mechanics, foundation and embankment dam design, seepage and slope stability analyses, seismic analyses, value engineering, forensic studies, reporting, client and regulator communication, resource coordination, and supervising geotechnical staff. The position requires a bachelor’s degree in geotechnical or civil engineering, at least eight years of geotechnical experience, and licensure as a Professional Engineer or the ability to become registered within six months. Compensation is $100,000 to $145,000.
