SA Health is hiring a Senior Lived Experience Worker for the Modbury Mental Health Rehabilitation Unit in a part-time, fixed-term role of 22.5 hours per week through 2 April 2027. The position provides peer support and one-to-one mentoring, contributes to recovery-focused group programs, mentors less experienced lived experience workers, and collaborates with clinical staff on care planning, service improvement, and discharge preparation. Applicants need genuine lived experience of mental health challenges, sustained personal recovery, paid or volunteer peer support experience, recovery-oriented and trauma-informed knowledge, professional boundary skills, strong communication, and current or eligible SA employment screening clearances. The advertised salary is $82,212–$86,180 per year pro rata, plus superannuation and salary sacrifice benefits, with applications closing on 16 October 2026.
