Description

Divergent is hiring a Senior Machine Control Software Engineer to develop real-time software for proprietary industrial 3D printing systems. The role involves building multithreaded C++ applications, operator-facing GUIs, simulation and modeling tools, calibration and fault-detection routines, and automated maintenance workflows; integrating software with mechatronic systems; and supporting commissioning, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement. The position is onsite and offers a base salary of $141,380 to $224,500 USD, with equity and discretionary bonus opportunities.

Additional Information

Required Previous Experiences: Experience developing multithreaded and/or real-time software applications
Experience with Git or similar version control systems
Familiarity with build systems and tooling such as CMake
Preferred Qualifications: Experience developing GUI applications using Qt
Familiarity with OpenCV or other computer vision frameworks
Proficiency in Python for scripting, automation, or test tooling
Experience with industrial automation, robotics, or control systems
Understanding of real-time systems, motion control, or digital signal processing
Experience integrating software with electromechanical hardware systems
Familiarity with MATLAB, Simulink, or Simscape for modeling and simulation
