Description

Q2 is hiring a Machine Learning Engineer to design and deliver production-ready AI solutions for its financial-services platform. The role focuses on building LLM agents, evaluation pipelines, agentic workflows, fine-tuned models, cloud and backend services, security guardrails, observability, and continuous model improvement. Candidates need a relevant bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of experience, or an advanced degree with 3+ years, plus Python proficiency, backend experience, and production AI/ML systems experience. The position requires U.S. work authorization and does not offer visa sponsorship.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, or an advanced degree with 3+ years of experience, or equivalent practical work experience
Required Previous Experiences: 5+ years of professional software, machine learning, or AI engineering experience with production systems
Hands-on experience with LLM applications, RAG, agentic workflows, multi-step reasoning, and model/tool integration
Experience building and operating production AI/ML systems, including evaluation, monitoring, safety guardrails, retuning, and observability
Experience deploying and scaling cloud-native infrastructure, containers, and automated pipelines
Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and MLOps practices
