General Motors is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to design and build mapping algorithms and geospatial data systems for automated map reconstruction and maintenance. The role focuses on lane and boundary extraction, road network graphs, map conflation, geometry and topology validation, distributed geospatial pipelines, and machine learning and computer vision integration. It is a hands-on individual contributor role requiring 3+ years of software engineering experience, Python and C++ proficiency, and a relevant technical degree or equivalent experience.
