General Motors is hiring a Senior Machine Learning Engineer for Perception within its Embodied AI organization to own the end-to-end lifecycle of safety-critical machine learning models. The role covers research, data curation, training, validation, optimization, debugging, metrics, and real-time deployment of 3D object detection, tracking, map detection, and multi-modal sensor-fusion models on vehicle compute platforms. Candidates need a relevant advanced degree, at least five years of production experience in computer vision, deep learning, and perception, and expertise with PyTorch or TensorFlow, multi-sensor fusion, and embedded-model optimization. The role is remote, with possible reporting to Atlanta, Austin, Detroit, Warren, Milford, or Mountain View three times per week, and offers a base salary of $170,600 to $261,300 plus bonus potential and health, dental, vision, and other benefits.
