Description
Roku is hiring a Senior Machine Learning Engineer, Search & Recommendations to apply deep learning, bandits, transformers, LLMs, causal inference, and other machine learning techniques to improve search and discovery on its TV streaming platform. The role includes running online A/B tests, translating business requirements into technical specifications, scaling the ML ecosystem, leading the search ranking and monetization roadmap, and recruiting, interviewing, training, and mentoring engineers. Candidates should have at least 8 years of experience applying machine learning to large-scale search, recommendation, or advertising problems, strong computer science fundamentals, experience with big data systems and programming, and fluency with AI or agentic tooling. The role follows a hybrid schedule with office attendance Monday through Thursday and flexible remote work on Fridays.
