Wayve is hiring a Senior Machine Learning Engineer for its Measurement team in AI Evaluation, based in the Sunnyvale office. The role develops, trains, fine-tunes, and evaluates computer vision and scene-understanding models that measure Wayve Driver performance offline, using camera and lidar data, foundation models, temporal context, and large-scale training. Responsibilities include improving accuracy and generalisation, defining ground truth and correctness criteria, building automated benchmarks, validating results for safety cases, and mentoring engineers. The position requires at least four years of ML engineering experience, hands-on computer vision and foundation-model experience, Python and PyTorch proficiency, and strong software engineering and ownership skills. It is a full-time hybrid role with an estimated salary of $311,850–$370,000 plus equity.
