Description
CarGurus is hiring a Machine Learning Operations Engineer to enhance and maintain its cloud-hosted machine learning platform. The role partners with data scientists to deploy Python models, build APIs and data pipelines, and support systems for recommendations, search ranking, computer vision, market value, and other AI capabilities. Responsibilities include writing training and inference jobs, using AWS SageMaker, GitHub Actions, and Docker, developing AI development tools, integrating multimodal and agentic AI systems, and maintaining data science infrastructure. The position requires at least four years of Python development experience, cloud ML deployment experience, and knowledge of SQL and cloud data warehouses. The annual base salary range is $144,000–$181,000 USD, with a flexible hybrid model and possible bonuses or restricted stock units.
