Roku is hiring a Senior Machine Learning Tech Lead to drive ranking, personalization, and recommendation systems for its entertainment assistant. The role leads technical vision and roadmaps, develops large-scale ML models using deep learning, transformers, LLMs, reinforcement learning, and causal inference, builds multi-objective optimization systems, runs A/B experiments, and mentors engineers across product, UX, analytics, and engineering teams. Candidates should have 8+ years of industry experience or a PhD with 5+ years, strong expertise in search, recommendation, retrieval, and personalization, and experience with Python, Java, or Scala and distributed ML infrastructure.
