Tokamak Energy is seeking a Senior Magnet Engineer to lead the design, development, testing, and project delivery of advanced high-temperature superconducting magnet and coil systems. The role owns work packages, oversees prototype build and test campaigns, reviews experimental data, collaborates with research facilities and suppliers, mentors engineers and technicians, and contributes to commercialisation and intellectual property. Candidates need a degree, MSc or PhD in Physics, Engineering or a related discipline, significant complex-systems experience, superconducting-magnet or cryogenic knowledge, project leadership experience, and programming skills in MATLAB, Python or an equivalent language. The position offers hybrid working with a minimum 60% onsite and 40% home-working split, along with holiday, pension, share-option, bonus, and other financial benefits.
