Description
Airwallex is hiring a Senior Manager of Data Platform Engineering to lead the engineering team responsible for the data backbone of its financial systems. The role sets technical direction for high-volume financial data ingestion, Databricks lakehouse evolution, data orchestration, canonical financial models, near-real-time processing, production reliability, infrastructure strategy, migrations, performance optimization, and AI-assisted engineering practices. It requires at least 8 years of data platform, backend, or infrastructure engineering experience, including significant people leadership, along with expertise in Python, SQL, Spark, Databricks, Delta Lake, dbt, Kafka, CDC, Dagster, PostgreSQL, GCP, Terraform, Kubernetes, Helm, GitOps, and CI/CD. The role is based in San Francisco.
