Chainguard is hiring a Senior Engineering Manager for Container Product Engineering to lead a team of about fifteen engineers building hardened container images, registries, build pipelines, Helm charts, compliance views, migration tools, and AI-agent adoption tooling. The Director-track role reports to the VP of Engineering for Containers, Libraries, and Repositories and owns people, roadmap, technical quality, delivery, forecasting, and cross-functional collaboration. Candidates need 10+ years of software engineering experience, including 5+ years managing customer-facing product teams, along with container, OCI, Kubernetes, Go, and cloud infrastructure expertise. The role is remote, with North America or the United Kingdom preferred, and offers a base salary of $229,000–$258,000 USD plus health, vision, dental, equity, and other benefits.
