Amgen is hiring two Senior Manager, Manufacturing Systems Engineering positions at its Amgen North Carolina drug substance manufacturing facility. One focuses on automation systems, including building automation, PLC platforms, upstream process control, and clean utility systems; the other focuses on manufacturing and project delivery, including new product introduction, project implementation, shift-floor support, and downstream process control. The roles lead automation and process-control engineering teams, develop strategies, support audits and GMP compliance, manage budgets, and provide technical and administrative leadership. Candidates need substantial engineering or project-management experience plus people-management experience, with preferred biopharmaceutical automation and process-control expertise.
