Description
The California Material Characterization Senior Manager leads CAA’s California material characterization efforts, including the 2027 statewide study supporting SB 54’s extended producer responsibility requirements for paper and packaging. The role oversees sampling, audit design, QA/QC, data management, reporting, facility participation, vendor procurement, and the development of internal and external teams. It requires expertise in solid waste management, recycling systems, field workflows, statistical analysis, regulatory compliance, and complex data management, along with 7+ years of relevant experience. The position is fully remote in California and reports to the California Director of Recycling Operations.
