Description

ServiceNow is hiring a Senior Manager of Machine Learning Engineering to lead engineers and machine learning practitioners building scalable AI search, retrieval, ranking, recommendation, and RAG systems for the ServiceNow platform. The role owns strategy, architecture, delivery, operational excellence, and team development across search, knowledge retrieval, and generative AI experiences, requiring extensive software engineering, engineering management, distributed systems, and AI/ML experience. Compensation is $190,900–$334,100 in base pay plus equity, variable compensation, and benefits.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree
Required Previous Experiences: 12+ years of software engineering experience
3+ years of engineering management experience leading high-performing technical teams
Experience building and operating large-scale retrieval, ranking, recommendation, or search systems
Experience deploying and operating machine learning models in production environments
Preferred Qualifications: Experience building enterprise search, knowledge retrieval, or GenAI products
Experience with personalization, recommendation systems, or relevance optimization
Experience working with vector search technologies and embedding frameworks
Experience leading geographically distributed engineering teams
Experience integrating AI capabilities into customer-facing SaaS products
