Description
NVIDIA is hiring a Senior Software Engineering Manager to lead strategy, team building, and execution for its open-source reinforcement learning frameworks and distributed systems infrastructure. The role owns RL post-training framework strategy, technical architecture and performance tradeoffs, open-source and upstream contributions, benchmarking, reproducibility, and delivery across NVIDIA platforms and partner ecosystems. It also involves recruiting and developing managers and senior engineers, establishing operating models and staffing plans, and coordinating with research, product, customer-facing, hardware, and open-source teams. The position requires an MS or PhD in a relevant field or equivalent experience, 10+ years of software engineering experience in distributed systems or AI infrastructure, and 4+ years as an engineering manager. The role is hybrid and offers a base salary of 272,000 USD to 431,250 USD plus equity and benefits.
