Description

Skydio is hiring a Senior Manager, Solutions Engineering for SLED Small Cities to lead a technical team supporting state and local public safety drone programs. The role owns hiring, technical wins, site assessments, proofs of concept, integrations, airspace strategy, procurement, and customer-facing documentation; it is remote with approximately 30% travel and requires 5+ years of relevant technical experience and 1+ years leading a technical team. The annual base salary range is $172,000-$215,000 plus commission, with equity and benefits.

Additional Information

Required Previous Experiences: 5+ years of relevant technical experience, including customer-facing technical experience
1+ years leading a technical team or serving as a technical lead with hiring and mentorship responsibility
Track record of hiring, onboarding, developing, and retaining technical people
Preferred Qualifications: Prior public safety service as a sworn officer, firefighter, or agency UAS program lead
Experience establishing a Drone as First Responder program through go-live and scaling dock-based, remote, and BVLOS operations
Familiarity with grant funding and cooperative purchasing pathways
Working knowledge of Salesforce, Palantir, Databricks, or equivalents
Track record of building and scaling a technical team through rapid growth
