Description

Intuitive is hiring a Manufacturing Engineer to develop manufacturing processes and test methods for new robotic-surgical accessories, support production launches, improve assembly lines and equipment, and provide product and process design-for-manufacturability input. The role also covers process validation, quality-system compliance, failure analysis, and continuous improvement, with requirements including an engineering degree, at least five years of design or manufacturing engineering experience, and experience with medical-device manufacturing processes.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering, or equivalent work experience
Required Previous Experiences: At least 5 years of design or manufacturing engineering experience supporting products with significant mechanical or electromechanical content
Process development and process parameter development, including DOE and critical parameter management
Equipment selection, test method development, and equipment or automation vendor collaboration
Product and process validation and verification in a medical device or similarly controlled industry
Catheter manufacturing and leak test development
High-volume automated assembly, plastic forming, and joining processes
Cross-functional communication with technicians, product development, planning, purchasing, regulatory, inspection, customer support, and clinical marketing teams
Preferred Qualifications: CAD experience, preferably SolidWorks
New product introduction and development; robotics knowledge
Experience in ISO 13485, ISO 9001, or medical device manufacturing
Experience designing automated equipment and complex mechanism manufacturing
