Description
The Senior Manufacturing Research Engineer will support America Makes’ work on adaptive and additive manufacturing supply chains through technical research, data analysis, documentation, presentations, public speaking, and programmatic and professional development activities. The role requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field, at least seven years of experience in additive or advanced manufacturing, defense-industry experience, manufacturing-technology development and qualification experience, technical project or engineering-program management, multidisciplinary team leadership, and experience with government contracting, proposal writing, and review. Preferred qualifications include an advanced degree, product-development experience, manufacturing-startup experience, manufacturing-specification or standards development, and experience with government-funded research consortia.
