The role qualifies weld materials and products for flight and reuse, develops damage-tolerant design requirements and engineering standards, optimizes weld processes, and coordinates with weld engineering, materials, laboratory, design, manufacturing, quality assurance, and leadership teams. Candidates need a bachelor’s degree in materials science or engineering or a related field and at least five years of relevant materials engineering experience, with aerospace hardware M&P, weld qualification, damage tolerance, inspection, risk assessment, and failure analysis experience preferred. The hiring range is $124,000 to $186,000 USD.
