Axis is hiring a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to design, integrate, and service custom automation equipment, machine assemblies, and tooling. The role leads mechanical design from concept through manufacturing, assembly, testing, and customer startup; collaborates with controls, machine-building, project, and manufacturing teams; troubleshoots mechanical issues; works with customers and suppliers; and mentors junior engineers. Candidates need at least five years of relevant mechanical engineering experience, SolidWorks or comparable 3D CAD proficiency, and knowledge of GD&T, manufacturing processes, and machine design.
