Description
Impulse Space is hiring a Senior Mechanical Engineer for its Avionics Team to own the full lifecycle of mechanical designs and systems for next-generation advanced propulsion space vehicles. The role leads avionics hardware from concept through launch, defines requirements and mechanical design decisions, performs structural dynamics, thermal, vibration, and environmental analysis, supports qualification testing, manages interfaces with vehicle structures, and collaborates with electrical, propulsion, guidance, navigation and control, and structural engineering teams. The position requires a bachelor’s degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering, at least five years of relevant experience, advanced CAD and GD&T proficiency, and experience with precision machining, sheet metal, thermal management, and full product lifecycles.
