Description
AECOM is hiring a Senior Mechanical Engineer for its South West and Wales Water team, with flexible hybrid work from Exeter, Bristol, or Cardiff. The role supports multi-billion-pound water and wastewater capital programmes through feasibility studies, detailed design, plant selection, specifications, drawings, calculations, site surveys, and construction support. Responsibilities include designing pumping stations, screens, grit removal, penstocks, valves, odour control, pipework, and related systems, while collaborating with civil, electrical, process, and other engineering teams. Applicants need a mechanical engineering degree or equivalent, progress toward Chartered Engineer status, knowledge of pump station and piping design, hydraulics, and hands-on experience with water or wastewater engineering projects.
