Description
Assystem is hiring a Senior Mechanical Engineer for its Fusion and Modular Nuclear Business Unit, reporting to the Turbine Island Lead. The role develops and reviews turbine-island designs, including process and piping diagrams, layouts, sizing calculations, datasheets, specifications, optioneering, functional and design requirements, and integration with the wider power plant. The engineer will support design reviews, HAZID/HAZOP studies, safety licensing, procurement, stakeholder interfaces, and compliance with health and safety and quality systems. The position requires a bachelor’s degree or higher national diploma in engineering, CEng or working towards it, relevant nuclear or thermal-power experience, and SC clearance or the ability to achieve it; hybrid work is available with 1–2 remote days per week.
