Description
BAE Systems is hiring a Senior Mechanical Engineer for a hybrid role at Portsmouth Naval Base. The position supports Warship Technical Authority service elements across naval platform systems, including design changes, technical assurance, material state and obsolescence management, specialist engineering support, investigations, impact assessments, integration analyses, configuration control, and future support or transformation planning. The role requires an experienced mechanical engineer with IEng or equivalent progressing professional accreditation, knowledge of complex naval or regulated systems, lifecycle and assurance experience, stakeholder engagement, and experience in at least two specified engineering areas. The salary is circa £50,000 dependent on experience, and the vacancy closed on 12 October 2026.
