This role involves designing enclosures and accessories for payment terminals, utilizing expertise in Solidworks, tolerance analysis, thermal simulation, and plastic molding processes. The successful candidate will contribute to product design, documentation, verification, and problem-solving, ensuring manufacturability and supporting compliance certifications.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Required Previous Experiences: 5+ years of experience in product design of plastic and sheet metal using Solidworks.
Experience designing plastic housings for consumer electronics like smartphones and tablets.
Knowledge of manufacturing and mechanical production processes.
Proficient in SolidWorks for mechanical CAD.
Expertise in creating detailed 2D drawings and performing tolerance calculations.
Understanding of mold design, FAI, and CPK.
Experience managing vendor relationships and overseeing factory operations.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with designing products similar to cell phones and tablets.
Experience with POS Hardware and peripherals.
Knowledge and expertise in PCI technology, material properties, and manufacturing processes.
Understanding of material and plastic properties, including thermal calculations.
Proficiency in mechanical simulation and metal part design.
Skills in industrial design and rendering.
