Gradient Robotics is hiring a Senior Mechanical Engineer to own a core mechanical subsystem from first-principles design through fabrication, assembly, and validation. The role focuses on precision motion and structural design, including linear stages, actuators, bearings, and drivetrains, with strong FEA and hand-calculation skills, trade studies, and integration with controls, firmware, and software. The engineer must have at least five years of experience designing precision electromechanical systems, hands-on machining experience, and the ability to work on-site in San Francisco five days per week.
