Description
HDR is hiring a Senior Mechanical Engineer for its Michigan-based Power Generation team. The role leads project mechanical teams, coordinates with other engineering disciplines, monitors project status, and provides mechanical engineering support for detailed design and owner’s engineer projects. Responsibilities include construction drawings, bid specifications, pipe stress analyses, equipment sizing, technical memos, bid evaluations, code reviews, feasibility studies, reports, and cost estimates. The position requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering, at least 10 years of experience, a professional engineering license, extensive power-market-sector project-execution experience, Microsoft Office proficiency, and familiarity with power-sector design software. Travel is typically less than 10%.
