viaPhoton is hiring a Senior Mechanical Engineer in Naperville, Illinois to lead mechanical product design for fiber-optic solutions. The role involves CAD design, drawings, bill-of-materials, FEA, cost analysis, prototyping, vendor sourcing, root-cause analysis, and mentoring junior engineers. Candidates need a bachelor's degree or equivalent, at least seven years of practical experience, technical support or customer-facing experience, and SolidWorks proficiency.
