Description
The Senior Mechanical Engineer leads the mechanical design of disposable and consumable components for life-science instruments and medical devices, including plastics design, injection molding, plastics joining and welding, fluid-path integrity, biocompatibility, sterilization, packaging, human factors, and design-for-manufacture and design-for-assembly. The role partners with chemical, systems, electrical, software, quality, regulatory, operations, and supply-chain teams, provides technical leadership and client-facing representation, and mentors mechanical engineers. It is an onsite position in San Diego with a salary range of $150,000-$185,000 plus benefits, PTO, and a 401(k) with matching.
