Description
AECOM is hiring a Senior Mechanical Engineer for its Data Center and Mission Critical team in the United States. The role is primarily remote, with occasional advance-scheduled travel for client meetings, project milestones, onsite collaboration, or other business-critical activities. Responsibilities include designing data center heat rejection and HVAC systems, selecting cooling equipment, performing CFD and heat-load analyses, planning redundancy and fault tolerance, improving energy efficiency, managing air quality and filtration, and coordinating with electrical and other mechanical systems. The position requires a bachelor's degree with 8+ years of relevant experience or equivalent education and experience, data center equipment installation and operation experience, and P.E. registration; a master's degree or advanced HVAC or energy-management coursework is preferred. Relocation assistance may be available for candidates working from the Arlington, Virginia office, and permanent residency sponsorship is available for current H1-B visa holders.
