Description

Agile Space Industries is looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join their team in Durango, CO. This role involves specifying, designing, prototyping, and producing advanced rocket engine and propulsion systems. The engineer will be responsible for designing various components like structures, assemblies, mechanisms, bearings, seals, pressure vessels, and fluid components, along with performing thermal and stress analysis. They will also lead design review sessions, oversee vendor selection, and develop work instructions for assembly and testing processes. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical design experience, proficiency in CAD modeling, and excellent communication skills.

Additional Information

Required Previous Experiences: Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical design
Proven experience in presenting to customers during design reviews.
Strong design background with expertise in applying mechanics of materials and fluid engineering principles to complex systems.
Proficiency in CAD modeling, including components, assemblies, and drawings, in accordance with ASME Y14.100 standards.
Knowledge of GD&T principles and techniques.
Ability to work effectively and collaboratively within team settings.
Experience developing hardware through manufacturing processes.
Experience working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with a focus on delivering consistent, quality results on tight timelines.
Demonstrated ability to take ownership of assigned tasks and anticipate team needs.
