BETA Technologies is hiring a Mechanical Engineer for its New Product Introduction (NPI) Engineering team to lead the development of new manufacturing processes and mechanical designs for electric aviation products. The role covers concept generation, proof-of-concept prototyping, test equipment and fixtures, process equipment selection, make-versus-buy decisions, certification support, and transition to manufacturing. Candidates need a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or another engineering field, at least seven years of manufacturing, aerospace, automotive, or high-rate production experience, strong NPI and production-scaling experience, and knowledge of automation, GD&T, tolerance stack-ups, and metrology. The position offers $125,000–$150,000 USD in base compensation and onsite healthcare in Vermont, along with medical, dental, vision, disability, parental leave, and other benefits.
