Starpath is hiring a full-time Senior Mechanical Engineer (Structures) in Los Angeles (Hawthorne), California, to own the structural architecture, design, analysis, qualification, and flight of lightweight space solar-array hardware. The role leads structural requirements, load paths, FEA and hand calculations, material and manufacturing selections, qualification testing, test-to-model correlation, design reviews, risk reduction, and cross-functional integration, while mentoring engineers and driving mass reduction. Candidates need a bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline, at least six years of professional mechanical-design or structural-engineering experience, and demonstrated ownership of complex structural hardware through qualification or production.
