Description
Textron Systems is hiring a full-time Mechanical Technician to support unmanned naval products, including ocean-going unmanned surface systems, prototype development, experimental military hardware testing, lab maintenance, safety audits, and on-water operations. The role requires hands-on experience with mechanical or electromechanical assemblies, the ability to interpret drawings and schematics, knowledge of test instrumentation and laboratory practices, and willingness to travel 50%. An associate degree in mechanical or engineering technology is preferred, along with boating, shipboard, maritime systems, diesel engine, and small-boat-handling experience. The position reports to the Unmanned Surface Vessel Lab Manager and requires a Secret-level security clearance.
