Description
K2 Space is hiring an Advanced Manufacturing Engineer to partner with Mechanisms Engineering on spacecraft mechanisms, develop manufacturing methods, tooling, test articles, and production flows for rotational actuators, separation mechanisms, gimbals, reaction wheel assemblies, and other electromechanical components. The role leads design-for-excellence guidance, demonstrates advanced manufacturing techniques on prototypes and flight hardware, scales technologies to high-rate production, and mentors junior manufacturing engineers. It requires a relevant engineering bachelor’s degree, at least six years of high-volume manufacturing or design engineering experience, and knowledge of aerospace mechanisms standards, GD&T, and production processes. Compensation is $140,000–$170,000 plus equity, with medical, dental, and vision coverage.
