Description
Inversion is hiring a Senior Mechatronics Engineer to establish and scale automated fiber placement for thermal protection system production. The role covers specifying, procuring, integrating, and commissioning manufacturing equipment; designing custom end-of-arm tooling and robotic work cells; programming industrial robots and deposition paths; integrating PLC/HMI controls, motion systems, sensors, and monitoring; and improving cycle time, reliability, and process capability toward rate production. It is an on-site position at Inversion headquarters in Playa Vista, California, requiring a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, typically 5+ years in manufacturing automation or robotics, and the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government Secret/Top Secret clearance.
