Description
The employer is hiring a Senior Medical Billing & Coding Specialist as a fully remote independent contractor for 15–40 hours per week, with work hours depending on client requirements and availability in U.S. Eastern, Central, or Pacific Time zones. The role manages U.S. medical billing and coding across Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance, including claims submission, coding, denials, appeals, Accounts Receivable, payment posting, payer follow-up, and revenue cycle management. Candidates need at least three years of hands-on U.S. healthcare billing and coding experience, familiarity with CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS, and modifiers, and experience with healthcare software, EHR/EMR systems, clearinghouses, and payer portals.
