Description
OceanaGold is hiring an open-pit mine planning and design engineer to oversee and support technical services planning groups in short- and long-range planning and pit and drill-and-blast design. The role manages mine and dump plans, design databases, mining software, ore recovery, grade and tonnage reconciliation, and operational changes, while also supporting safety, training, succession planning, and workforce development. The position requires a bachelor’s degree in mining engineering, at least five years of mining experience, and five years of open-pit gold mining experience; it is based near Charlotte, North Carolina, and offers a competitive salary, bonuses, health, vision, and dental insurance, and other benefits.
