Description

VERSANT Media is hiring a Senior ML Engineer to build and operate AI-powered equity research systems for individual investors. The role covers production ML and AI systems, LLM workflows, data pipelines, model training, inference, monitoring, evaluation, and operational reliability, with opportunities to work on both existing products and greenfield projects. Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience, at least eight years of software engineering experience focused on machine learning or AI systems, production ML experience, strong Python, TypeScript, or Java proficiency, and experience with LLMs, ranking or recommendation systems, search, or applied NLP.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
Required Previous Experiences: At least 8 years of software engineering experience focused on machine learning or AI systems
Experience building and operating production ML systems
Experience with LLMs, ranking or recommendation systems, search, or applied NLP
Experience contributing to system design and technical decision-making
Preferred Qualifications: Hands-on experience with neural networks, including CNNs, RNNs, Transformers, or other deep learning architectures
Background in classical and modern NLP techniques
Experience with training pipelines using TensorFlow or PyTorch
Experience building human-in-the-loop training or evaluation workflows
