Description

Experian is hiring a Senior ML Engineer for its AI Safety team to lead the design, implementation, governance, evaluation, and incident response of safety-critical GenAI systems. The role partners with risk, compliance, legal, security, product, and engineering teams; develops explainability and safety-benchmarking tooling; contributes to GenAI applications in fraud detection, credit risk, and customer service; and mentors engineers. Required qualifications include machine learning, data science, or software engineering experience, strong Python and ML-framework skills, MLOps experience, and knowledge of AI safety, governance, and model risk management.

Additional Information

Required Previous Experiences: Experience in machine learning, data science, or software engineering focused on AI safety, alignment, Responsible AI, or model governance
Hands-on MLOps experience with MLflow, Kubeflow, CI/CD for ML, model monitoring, versioning, and reproducible deployment
Knowledge of AI safety techniques including red-teaming, adversarial testing, fairness metrics, interpretability methods, and alignment approaches
Understanding of AI governance, model risk management, and financial-services regulatory expectations
Preferred Qualifications: Experience designing or running automated benchmark suites for LLMs or other GenAI systems
Familiarity with bias detection, harm classification, content safety tooling, or policy evaluation frameworks
