The client is hiring a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to lead the architecture, integration, scaling, and productionization of machine learning systems for life sciences and biotech software. The role owns ML pipelines, model deployment, API and backend integration, observability, testing, and performance optimization, while collaborating with domain experts and cross-functional teams. Candidates must have strong Python and software engineering skills, production ML experience, life sciences or scientific-data domain knowledge, fluent English, and be based in the United States; hybrid work in Indianapolis is preferred, with fully remote East Coast candidates also considered.
