Description
Apheris is hiring a Senior Machine Learning Research Engineer to develop and improve machine learning models for molecular and structural biology, including co-folding and binding affinity models, and to support their evaluation, release, and integration into drug-discovery workflows. The role involves hands-on deep learning research, benchmarking, data-quality troubleshooting, literature analysis, and collaboration with customers and external partners. It requires a PhD or MSc in a relevant scientific or machine learning field, at least two years of professional experience applying ML to scientific problems, and expertise in Python, PyTorch, distributed training, and structural biology data. The position is remote-first, with optional office days at Berlin or another European location.
