Zalando is hiring a Senior ML Scientist / Data Engineer to drive algorithmic research and software development for predictive warehousing, including scheduling, planning, and routing decisions. The role covers research, prototyping, production implementation, testing, and operation of highly available systems, while also influencing research methodologies and coaching Applied Scientists. Candidates should have a Master’s or PhD in a quantitative field, industry experience in algorithm-related software development, expertise in microservices and distributed data processing, knowledge of advanced algorithms and machine learning, and at least six years of applied research experience.
